The Greatest Game Ever Played: Essay

In the story I think the character Zaroff values liberty the most. There are many reasons that I think that Zaroff values liberty the most because he loves to hunt more than anything. I know that Zaroff loves to hunt more than anything because as a child he used to hunt with his father. In the story Zaroff says,"When I was five years old he gave me a little gun." The second example that shows me Zaroff enjoys hunting is when he tells us as a reader that he enjoys hunting for humans also. Zaroff says, My whole life has been prolonged hunt." That tells us how much he loves to hunt a lot. Lastly you know that Zaroff is for liberty because he believes he much stronger than everyone else, and that he should control the whole universe. I know that Zaroff believes this because when he is hunting for Rainsford he gives him very little to protect himself. While Zaroff uses his pack of dogs to hunt for Rainsford. In conclusion these are many ways that Zaroff is for liberty.
